At first glance, the Browser Playlist Editor looks a bit intimidating or complicated. But actually, it's rather straightforward.
The first steps with the Browser Playlist Editor are the most basic ones: Loading and Saving a Playlist. For these actions you use the Load Playlist and Save Playlist buttons below the playlist area. Each opens a standard file selection box. However, if you want to start a completely new playlist, you have to move one button down and clear the existing playlist from all entries by pressing the Clear Playlist button. Now you can start a new playlist from scratch. For that, take a look at the rest of the window:
Starting at the left, there's the playlist area with the playlist. In the picture below, you can see only two entries in this list. But you can of course add as much entries to your playlist as you like. An additional scrollbar will be added to the playlist area if needed. You can rearrange the order of the playlist entries with drag-and-dropping the entries with your mouse.
Another possibility to reorder the playlist entries is to use two of the buttons with the arrows in the center of the window, the Up or Down buttons. Just select one or more entries in the playlist by clicking on them, now you can move the selected entries up or down in the list with these two buttons. When you have selected entries in the playlist, you also can use the Remove button to remove them from the playlist. To add web links to the playlist, select one or more links from the Url entries collection on the right side of the Window and click the Add button. You can also double click an entry with your left mouse button to add it to the playlist. Or simply drag & drop the entries from the collection to the playlist.
However, playlist entries are not limited to web links. As you will see later, the Url entries collection can also include files on your local hard drive. E.g. your own web pages or any other file a web browser can display.
Below the playlist area is one additional button which lets you add entries to the playlist: The Insert Playlist button. It lets you append existing playlists to your current playlist.
The Close button next to the Insert Playlist button lets you close the window of the Playlist Editor. On closing the window, you will be asked if you want to save the current playlist, if you have altered the playlist but haven't saved it by using the Save Playlist button.

Below the Url entries collection are three buttons which let you modify the your collection of web links: Add Entry, Modify Entry and Delete Entry.
To add an entry to your collection of links simply click the Add Entry button. This will open the Add Url entry window, which lets you add one or more entries to your collection.

You enter the name and the address for this Url entry in the respective fields. If you want the link to refer to a file on your local hard drive, then use the Local File... button to select the file with a standard windows file selection dialog.
If needed you can also define a time interval for refreshing the contents this link displays.
If you just wanted to add this one entry press the OK button. The entry will then be saved and the window closes and returns you to the Browser Playlist Editor. In case you want to add another entry right away, just press the OK - Add another button. The entry will then be saved but the window will stay open for you to add another entry. When you are done adding entries or if you have changed your mind and don't want to add an entry, just press the Cancel button. The window will then just close without saving the current data to a new entry.
To modify an entry from your collection of links simply select the entry by clicking on it with the left mouse button and then press the Modify Entry button. This will open the Modify Url entry window, which lets you modify the data belonging to the entry. As you can see, the Modify Url entry window is very similar to the Add Url entry window, so no further explanation is necessary here.

To remove an entry from your collection of links simply select the entry by clicking on it with the left mouse button and then press the Delete Entry button. This will remove the entry from the Url entries collection and also from the current playlist in case the playlist contained that entry.
Be aware, that the entry is only removed from the current playlist, if it contained the entry. The other playlists on your hard drive remain unchanged and may still contain a reference to the now missing entry. If you load one of these playlists at a later time, they will complain that the entry is missing, but will of course continue to function otherwise.
