This tutorial will show you - step-by-step - how to create a layout that corresponds to the Globe - Spinning preset:
To start a new own layout you can use two methods: You load an existing layout or preset and use that as a starting point or you create your new layout completely from scratch using an empty layout. In this tutorial you will use the second method and so you will first load a New empty layout.

DeskoverX Menu with highlighted Load layout

Load layout window with selected New empty layout preset
Now that you have begun the New empty layout, you will want to add the Globe plugin to the layout. In order to do that you must first switch into layoutmode and then add the plugin.

Plugins Window with selected Globe plugin
The Globe plugin's default settings are sufficient for this tutorial so you need not change them. However if you want to change them have a look at Configure the globe plugin.
By default the Globe plugin is added maximized, so that its display area covers the entire screen. This means that you need not change the area's placement or size for this tutorial.
Your own layout with a spinning globe is now finished. You can exit the layoutmode and enjoy the view. If you like you can also Save the layout.
