Currently the Picture Player plugin doesn't need much configuration.
In the Name field, you can change the name of this plugin. This name is then subsequently used for the plugin in the program menu and the layout-manager. If you have several Picture Player plugins running in your layout, you should assign a different name to each of them. Useful are for example names which describe the playlist your using with this Picture Player or names like "Top Left" or "Lower Right" to describe the location of the display area in the layout
The first group of settings are the Display options. They start with two checkboxes that affect how an image is scaled and shown in the display area of this Picture Player. If you don't check a box here, then the picture is scaled to fill the whole display area of this Picture Player. Normally this works fine because most webcam pictures have about the same width : height ration (aspect ratio) and they are a bit wider than high. But for some pictures (e.g.. pictures of high buildings or towers) it won't look very good when they are rescaled to fit the whole display area.
Checking the Keep aspect ratio when stretching/shrinking image box means that the aspect ration of the image stays the same, no matter how big or small the image is scaled. That means, that parts of the available display might remain empty and are filled with a uniform background color (black)
Fill Window (some portions of the image might become hidden) also keeps the aspect ration, but fills the whole display area of the Picture Player.
The new group of the Display options affects the Info Panel. To the left there is a dropdown-box which lets you choose the Position at which the info panel is display or if it's displayed at all. To the right the Elements settings lets you choose which elements of the available information of a webcam is to be displayed in the info panel.
The Playlist field shows the name of the currently selected playlist. To load some other playlist, press the Load Playlist button to the right of this field. A standard file selection window will appear, which lets you browse for your previously saved playlists.
If you're not satisfied with your existing selection of playlists, press the Playlist Editor button and use the Playlist Editor to create a new playlist or alter an existing one.
The field below the Playlist field is the Switch images after this time field. It lets you choose how long each single picture or webcam is displayed. Usually, only one single image of a webcam is displayed during that time interval, but if the interval set here is set to a much longer time than the refresh rate of the displayed webcam, than several consecutive images of the same webcam are shown, before the Picture Player changes to a new webcam or a new picture.
Checking the Shuffle box means, that the Picture Player will display the playlist entries in random order.
